Position the cardstock horizontally in front of you.

With the ruler, pencil, and scissors, cut and measure an 8 1/2 inch by 5 1/2 inch piece of cardstock.

Position the 8 1/2×5 1/2 piece in front of you horizontally. Position your right hand inside the center of the card. Slide your left hand under the left side of the card. Lift left side of card and bring it over to the appropriate side wedding invitations, lining up the two edges. Now fold along the center. Crease well. It is best to now have a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card that opens up like an invitation card.

With the ruler and pencil, mark a 1/4 or 1/2 inch border around all four edges of the front of the card.

Decorate the front of the card with your colored pencils, watercolor pencils, markers, or paints. You could leave the border blank or create a repeating border around the card.
